My name is Bonnie Engel of Success Sales Strategies.   I am considered an expert in sales; however it was not always that way.  My sales career began over 25 years ago, when I was hired as an entry level salesperson for an ophthalmic contact lens company. My designated sales territory combined the overflow of accounts that nobody else wanted. It consisted of going to unsafe neighborhoods like Harlem, the South Bronx and other ghetto areas that were laden with poverty, crime and gangs. I also inherited disgruntled clients to put out fires, had doors slammed in my face, and not getting past the gatekeeper.
